"My food journey began quite unexpectedly during a trip to Germany when I was 20. I found myself sitting down to a meal with a family who didn't speak a word of English, yet we shared one of the most incredible meals I've ever had. Despite the language barrier, we connected through the food. That experience showed me that food transcends language; it creates bonds and lasting memories in ways that words sometimes can't.
Cooking is at the heart of my family life. I have fond memories of family gatherings, and I'm carrying that tradition with my family. My favourite moments are gathering around the Big Green Egg, cooking something special, sharing stories and laughter, and playing cards."

"I've always been a wanderer, constantly searching for what resonated with me. I remember trying many different things—fashion, fitness, modelling, photography—but nothing felt right. Then, one day, while cooking meals for friends and family, I noticed how a dish I made could bring smiles, laughter, and even stories to the table."
View Channel"What I love most about the Big Green Egg is how it lets me recreate both the traditional Indian dishes I've come to cherish and the classic Aussie barbecues I grew up with. The first time I made a tandoori-style lamb on the Egg, it transported me back to a small eatery in Delhi, where the smoky, tender meat was the meal's star. But just as remarkable is the ability to cook a steak to perfection as we did when I was growing up in Australia. Barbecuing a beautiful steak was a huge part of our life, and the Egg allows me to do that with incredible precision. The Egg's ability to control temperature ensures that every dish, whether a perfectly seared steak or a coal-kissed kebab, comes out just right. Plus, it's healthier, too—sealing in moisture and flavour without the need for extra fat.
Being an Ambassador for Big Green Egg Australia is incredibly special to me. It reminds me of the first time I used the Egg at a friend's barbecue and was blown away by its versatility and the flavour it imparted to the food. It's a brand that aligns perfectly with my passion for outdoor cooking and my love for creating dishes that bring people together. The Egg isn't just a grill; it's a tool that inspires creativity and exploration in cooking and entertaining, and I'm proud to share that experience with others."

sarahtodd.com.auWhat makes the Big Green Egg a perfect fit for your outdoor cooking space?
The Big Green Egg has been on my wishlist for as long as I can remember. It takes me back to my time in India, learning about the tandoor's unique ability to infuse food with incredible depth and smokiness. The Egg replicates that experience perfectly, with its ability to retain heat and lock in moisture, ensuring every dish is flavorful. It's like having a modern-day tandoor in my backyard—an absolute dream for anyone who loves outdoor cooking, not to mention how beautiful it is visually; it's a piece of art in my garden.
What role does cooking play in your family life?
Cooking is at the heart of my family life. I have fond memories of family gatherings, and I'm carrying that tradition with my family. My favourite moments are gathering around the Big Green Egg, cooking something special, sharing stories and laughter, and playing cards.
What's the most unusual or adventurous meal you've ever cooked or eaten?
Honestly, I'll try almost anything once—I love to experiment and dive into new experiences because it's how I connect with different countries and cultures. One of the most adventurous meals I've cooked was a fusion of Indian spices and French techniques—a dish that combined my two greatest culinary loves. These culinary experiments tell a story and create a bridge between different worlds, which I'm always striving for in my cooking.
If you were hosting a luxurious outdoor dinner party, what would be your signature dish?
For a luxurious outdoor dinner party, my signature dish would be a slow-roasted lamb marinated in a blend of Indian spices that takes me back to the markets of Goa. Cooked to perfection on the Big Green Egg, it would have that rich, smoky flavour that I love. Paired with charred vegetables and a tangy yogurt sauce, it would be a feast for the eyes and the palate.
If you could invite three famous people (living or dead) to a barbecue at your place, who would you invite and why?
I'd invite Anthony Bourdain, Julia Child, and Madhur Jaffrey. I can imagine us gathered around the Big Green Egg, sharing food and travel stories. Bourdain's adventurous spirit, Julia's love for French cuisine, and Madhur's expertise in Indian cooking would make for the ultimate culinary conversation. Plus, I'd love to see what they think of my take on traditional dishes cooked on the Egg.
What's your guilty pleasure food that you love to cook and eat?
My guilty pleasure has to be a spiced pear and caramel dessert cooked right on the Big Green Egg. I remember the first time I tried baking a dessert on the Egg—I was amazed at how it added a subtle smokiness to the sweet caramel and spiced pears. Served with a dollop of ice cream, it's the perfect way to showcase just how versatile the Egg is, proving that it's not just for savoury dishes but can elevate desserts too!
